HAWORTH Parish Church will feature on the small screen after being used as a filming location for two BBC shows.

The historic Main Street building was visited by Strictly Come Dancing judge Len Goodman and Emmerdale star Lisa Riley (both pictured) for the production of a new series and hosted filming for Songs of Praise, when it was visited by presenter Richard Taylor.

Church spokesman John Huxley said: "As far as we're concerned it was something a bit different, but it's very good publicity for the church.

"Lisa Riley is apparently a regular visitor to Haworth, though Len Goodman had never been here before.

"It was wonderful to have both programmes use our church. Haworth attracts many media cameras during the year and we were very happy to host both programmes. We look forward to seeing them appear."

Mr Goodman and Miss Taylor's trip to Haworth forms part of a BBC programme due to be screened this autumn called Holiday of My Lifetime.
