TWO men have been arrested on suspicion of firearms offences after armed police were called to a business early this morning.
Officers swooped on the commercial premises on Barnard Road in West Bowling, a window company called Clean Green Upgrades, at 7am after receiving reports of a man with a gun.
Witnesses say around seven officers were present at the incident.
Eventually two men from Bradford, aged 61 and 33, were arrested, and they both remain in custody.
A police spokesman said: “Officers also conducted a search of the premises and recovered what was believed to be a firearm. No one was hurt in the incident and enquiries are continuing.”
For several hours the business remained cordoned off with an officer stood by the entrance.
A group of staff stood outside the business said they would not be commenting on the situation.
Other neighbouring businesses were surprised when the T&A informed them about the incident, saying most of the companies on the road would not have been open at that time of day.
