CAR enthusiasts are in for a treat as a collection of British sports cars will be on at Bradford's Classic and Performance Car show this weekend.

This year's classic event will feature more than 150 classic cars, including an Jaguar E-Type, a Triumph TR3 and an MGB GT.

The tenth anniversary car show opens in City Park on Saturday and takes place between 10am and 4pm.

Car lovers will be able to see an Bentley Brooklands, a powerful Jaguar XJS 4 litre Convertible and a rare Domino HTR Mini rally car.

The Bradford Classic will show an unusual Austin Mini Clubman Hearse and a radically designed, Vauxhall Firenza Droop Snoot.

There will be several examples of Ford Capri coupes and a couple of Mini Coopers.

Older people will be able to take a trip down memory lane by viewing some beautiful examples of Bradford-built Jowetts.

Visitors to City Park will also see some European classics including a Fiat Bertone X1/9, a Citroen Traction Avante, one of the earliest front wheel drive production cars, and a rally-inspired, Lancia Fulvia 1600 HF.

Cars from across the Atlantic will also go on display, such as a Chevrolet Camaro and a Pontiac Trans Am KITT from the 1980s television series, Knight Rider.

Visitors will also be able to see a DeLorean converted by a Bingley businessman.

Mike Hutchinson, 37, who has spent about £20,000 turning his car into a replica of the DeLorean used by Marty McFly in the 1985 film Back to the Future, will also put his vehicle up for show.

The Bradford Police Museum will stage special photographic exhibition featuring police and support vehicles from the past 100 years.

Children will be entertained by giant Jenga, Connect 4, face painters and a climbing wall.

A vintage red double deck bus will also go on display.

Live music at the event will be provided by Bradford band, The Good Citizens.

Vintage clothing and wares will be sold at the Rose and Brown Vintage Fair to be held in Bradford City Hall, also between 10am and 4pm.

The Banqueting Hall will have up to 20 stalls full of genuine vintage fashion including handbags, jewellery and menswear, from the 1920s to the 1980s.

Councillor Susan Hinchcliffe, portfolio holder for education, skills and culture, has urged everyone to get down to City Park to enjoy the collection of cars including a piece of Bradford's motoring history.

She said: "The Bradford Classic is always tremendously popular and the cars look great in City Park.

"There will be a real variety of cars on display and it's great to see Bradford-made Jowetts featuring too."

Themes of previous year's Bradford Classic shows have included Made in Bradford in 2013, featuring vehicles from the city and Formula One in 2012.
