PUB goers will be able to appreciate art alongside their ale now a new exhibition has opened at a city centre brewery.

Bradford College photography tutor Sally Robinson is displaying a number of photographs based around the relationship between people and food at Bradford Brewery.

The exhibition began on the brewery's second floor, and one of the pieces, featuring a woman eating pasta on her couch sat next to her pet cat, recently reached the final of Food Photographer of the Year Awards, an international competition, and will soon go on display at venues around the country.

She said: "It is about people's relationship with food and how the way people eat can be influenced by nationality, gender and how you want the world to see you."

Miss Robinson said the exhibition was particularly significant in the city's growing independent quarter, which is finding a new identity thanks to the number of bars and cafes opening up.

The exhibition runs until August 19.
