HARDEN parish councillors have scotched rumours that dogs were being poisoned on the St Ives Estate.

At a meeting councillors heard there was no evidence for the rumour, and in reality a dog found dead at St Ives had been hit by a car.

The meeting also heard that there was no evidence for another rumour, that someone had been releasing sick and injured hedgehogs into the wild around Harden.

A villager also expressed concern about bins in Spring Row which are allegedly attracting foxes and badgers because they do not have lids.

The council clerk will write to Bradford Council to report the issue.
