PATIENTS and the public will get the opportunity to see what Bradford Royal Infirmary’s new £28m hospital wing will look like during a special event in the city centre next month.
Plans for introducing electronic patient records and the practical changes being made to wards to help patients with dementia will also be on the agenda at the meeting on Tuesday, August 4, starting at 3.30pm at the Bradford Hotel, Hall Ings.
The meeting brings together members, governors, directors, as well as the chairman and chief executive of Bradford Teaching Hospitals with the public also invited to attend.
The event will start with exhibitions from hospital teams, including those involved in transforming services, quality improvement, patient safety, dementia and diabetes care, patient experience and involvement, and the chaplaincy service.
From 5pm there will be a presentation on the work of the Council of Governors from governors’ vice-chairman Mark Steward, followed by a talk from Foundation Trust chairman Lord Kamlesh Patel of Bradford OBE on how the hospitals are developing work with other health partners.
Chief executive Professor Clive Kay will also be there to outline the organisation’s priorities for the next financial year.
The meeting will end with a question and answer session between 5.45pm and 6.30pm.
