A GROUP of parents and children from the Windhill community is working hard to prepare a performance of beloved children's film The Lion King.

Youngsters will be holding the free performance of the musical at Christ Church in Windhill tomorrow.

They have put the show together in just a few days, having started rehearsals earlier this week.

The 19 children involved in the play and their families have been supported by the family learning team based at Bradford Council, Christ Church Academy, Christ Church Windhill and Windhill Community Centre.

The story tells of a young lion prince who flees his homeland after the death of his father, only to return to reclaim his throne as an adult.

The play, which is free, runs from 1.15pm until 2.30pm, and there will be refreshments after the show.

To reserve tickets, text Sam Davies on 07913624894 with the names of the people attending and the number of tickets needed. They will be waiting at the church on the day of the performance.
