POLICE have issued an appeal for information after a man was robbed at knifepoint.

The 35-year-old was pushed against the wall before two men threatened him with the blade in Heckmondwike.

The victim was approached by the duo who demanded cash. When the man said he did not have any, he was pushed up against a wall and his wallet taken as he was threatened with a knife.

The pair then ran away towards the Spen Valley Ringway.

Both men are described as stocky Asians, believed to be in their 30s and were wearing dark clothing.

One is believed to be about 6ft tall with short cropped black hair and a goatee beard. He was wearing a black baseball cap and spoke with a local accent.

The other man is thought to be about 5ft 8ins tall and was clean shaven.

The man was uninjured in the incident, which happened on Cook Lane, Heckmondwike, at 10.15am on Sunday, June 28.
