A STAGE version of Wuthering Heights is to be performed in the village where the original novel was written.
Jorvik Theatre will bring its touring production of the play to West Lane Methodist Church on Saturday. (July 18)
A professional cast will perform Emily Brontë’s classic dark romance.
A spokesman for Jorvik said the Wuthering Heights production was created following critically-acclaimed performances of Riccall last year.
He said: “Our lead Krisha Fox has received high plaudits for her portrayal of the wild child Cathy and the whole cast received critical praise from the press.
“Many of the company are professional actors with theatre, television and film credits.”
Samantha Hindman, who plays Nelly, recently completed a short film which has been nominated for a festival award in America.
Alex De Luca and Nathan Barber, who play Hindley and Hareton, respectively, have just finished a run playing Bottom and Demetrius in A Midsummer Nights' Dream.
Jorvik Theatre Company, based in York and Selby and under the direction of Diana Brooks, have developed a reputation for innovative and exciting theatre.
Tickets cost £12 for adults and £8 for concessions. Visit jorviktheatrecompany.com, call 07594 957350 or e-mail jorviktheatre@yahoo.co.uk.
