POLICE were called after a girl was attacked outside a Bradford school as a noisy crowd watched on.

Officers attended Reevy Road West, near Buttershaw Business and Enterprise College, at around 6.15pm on Monday after reports of youths fighting in the street.

Several people filmed the incident and one video (pictured) was sent to the Telegraph & Argus.

A man who claimed to have intervened said: "There was an organised fight with hundreds there. It didn't happen so they jumped a poor girl."

In the footage, one girl appears to violently punch and kick another teenager who is lying on the floor, as a crowd of other screaming youngsters watch.

Once the two girls are pulled apart, the crowd appears to disperse.

Sergeant Julie Boardman, of the Bradford South Area Neighbourhood Team, said: "Officers attended and spoke to witnesses, who mentioned that two people were fighting but had since left the scene.

"No assaults or injuries were reported and enquiries are continuing into this matter.

"Anyone with information is asked to contact the Bradford South Area Neighbourhood Team on 101, or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111."

A spokesman for Buttershaw Business and Enterprise College said: "The school is aware of an incident in the community last night.

"As this matter is being investigated by the police, it would be inappropriate to comment further."
