A DRUNK man who flew into a rage and smashed a taxi windscreen with a hammer has been given a second suspended prison sentence.
John Gaukroger, 33, was in breach of a suspended jail sentence for driving with excess alcohol after attacking Tanweer Hussain's cab on April 10, Bradford Crown Court heard.
He pleaded guilty to criminal damage to Mr Hussain's Vauxhall Vectra and having an offensive weapon in a public place.
Gaukroger, of Tanton Walk, Clayton, Bradford, was sentenced to eight weeks imprisonment, suspended for two years, and a four month electronically monitored curfew order with a rehabilitation activity requirement with the probation service.
The court was told yesterday that he was now addressing a significant drink problem.
