THE owners of a Bradford Madrassa have asked for permission to open the facility for almost 20 hours a day.
The Madrasah Nur Qur'An, on 234 Parkside Road was given planning permission in 2011, with one of the conditions that the centre could only open between 10am and 7pm.
Amir K Raja has applied to alter these opening hours to 4am to 11.30pm. In his application he cites "community needs and pressure" for the extended opening hours.
He adds: "They wish to use the facility from early morning to late at night with supervision."
Bradford Council will decide whether to allow the longer opening hours next month.
