A 26-YEAR-OLD Bradford man, accused of threatening a woman with a shotgun, made his first appearance at Bradford Crown Court today.
John Lowther, of Denbury Mount, Holme Wood, is charged with possessing a firearm with intent to cause Karen Calvert to believe unlawful violence would be used against her, on Friday, June 12 this year, in Stirling Crescent, Holme Wood. He is also charged with affray.
Lowther's barrister, Stephen Wood, told Judge Mark Savill his client denied the offence.
A date was fixed for a trial, which is expected to last four days, to begin on November 30.
Lowther will next appear for a plea and case management hearing on September 7. He was remanded in custody.
