BRITISH Transport Police want to track this youth after a member of staff was racially abused at Keighley railway station.

Officers want the public’s help to identify the person (pictured) who they want to speak to in connection with the incident which happened on Friday, June 12 at around 4.55pm.

PC Sian Adams said: "The youth left a train from Skipton and went to exit the station. When he approached the ticket barriers he was asked by a member of station staff to show his ticket, he then became extremely offensive and hurled racial abuse at him before walking off back into the station. He returned a short while later and showed his ticket then exited the station.

"The man abused was simply doing his job and shouldn’t have to be verbally abused or threatened in this way, it’s not acceptable. The racist language used during this attack makes it even more deplorable and we will not tolerate it on the rail network."
