A MOTHER-OF-TWO has been jailed and labelled a "drunken thug" by a judge after assaulting the landlady of a Saltaire pub.
Josephine Caruso, 26, was sentenced to eight months in prison at Bradford Crown Court today for assault occasioning actual bodily harm and assault by beating.
The court heard that Caruso, of West Royd Road, Windhill, punched the landlady Leah Padfield in the face after being asked to leave The Rosse pub on March 6 this year.
She then grabbed the hair of a customer, Suzanne Killip, dragging her to the floor before kicking her in the head.
Caruso admitted the offences to police after seeing her actions on CCTV.
Judge Jonathan Rose said Caruso had made repeated appearances before the courts for "drunken and loutish" behaviour.
Jailing her, Judge Rose said: "I have every sympathy for your children, but the biggest burden they labour under is that their mother is a drunken thug.
"You took a decision to have so much to drink that you lost control and allowed that thug to come out."
