BRADFORD'S skyline has been forever changed after work to demolish a major city centre building was finally completed.
The final pieces of the former Tyrls police station have been razed to the ground as a demolition project, which started last month, entered its final stages.
With the building now gone, views of two of the city's grandest buildings, the Odeon and Alhambra theatre, and the National Media Museum have been opened up for City Park users and city centre shoppers.
The large building, on the edge of City Park, was vacated in 2007, and the site has been earmarked for a development of three office blocks.
Now the building has been demolished the site will be landscaped and marketed to developers.
The building had remained standing for so long because it housed the cells for the neighbouring magistrates' court. New court cells were built earlier this year, meaning the building was no longer needed.
