PUDSEY Bear and friends walked through Bradford as part of a fundraising trip in aid of Children in Need.

A group of fundraisers visited Valley Parade and Odsal Stadium as part of the northern leg of the Lloyds Banking Group Sports Tour of Britain yesterday.

The tour will travel across the UK, looking to raise £100,000 for the BBC charity by walking, running and cycling to landmarks and sports stadiums.

The party stopped at the home of Bradford City before walking across the district to Bradford Bulls' base.

The sixth leg also stopped at Manchester United and Manchester City's grounds after starting at Elland Road, the home of Leeds United.

In all, 400 people took part in various stages of the northern section.

The tour continues tomorrow between Bristol and Cardiff before it finishes with the London leg on Friday.

Organiser Mike Wilson said: "It went really well in Bradford. We had a really fantastic reception at Bradford Bulls where we had a picture taken in the centre of the pitch.

"We had 90 new participants there as well. We have got £55,000 towards the target at the moment."
