A 63-YEAR-OLD man is to be sentenced at Bradford Crown Court for sexually assaulting three underage girls.

Ralph Craven, of Bradford Road, Riddlesden, near Keighley, pleaded guilty to five offences today.

His case was adjourned until July 16 for the preparation of a probation service report.

Craven admitted three offences of sexually assaulting one teenage girl, between November, 2012, and November, 2013, and two further allegations, involving two more girls over the same period.

His barrister, Sophie Drake, said he was drinking heavily at the time and behaving inappropriately to young women.

He had no recollection of his offending or of a previous conviction for sexual assault, dating back to 1971.

Miss Drake said Craven no longer drank alcohol.

The Recorder of Bradford, Judge Roger Thomas QC, enlarged his bail until the sentencing hearing.

Craven was ordered to sign on the sex offenders register.
