THOUSANDS are expected to descend on Centenary Square tomorrow to celebrate Bradford Pride in its tenth year.

The big birthday bash starts from noon.

There will be prizes to be won, street theatre and bands onstage, headlining X-Factor finalist Diva Fever and regional acts.

An area for people who use wheelchairs and for those who need a sign language interpreter will be available as will a dedicated changing room for Transpeople.

The community event run by volunteers is funded through donations and fundraising, said Ann Morgan who is chairman of Bradford Pride Committee.

She added: "Bradford Pride provides an opportunity for people who are beginning their journey of coming out as LGBT, in addition to those who just want to celebrate their identity. Also, Pride provides an occasion for people who are not familiar with the LGBT community to come along and enjoy the day, promoting good relations.”
