Appeal after elderly man assaulted by father and son in market place
POLICE are appealing for information after an elderly man was assaulted by a young man and his father in Birstall.
The victim also had his car damaged in the incident, which occurred in the parking area of the town's market place between 9.50am and 9.55am on Monday, May 11.
A man was said to have intervened in the argument, speaking to the three people involved before walking off.

Police are urging the man, or anyone who knows him, to assist in their investigations by contacting Police Constable Nigel Milner at Batley Police Station via 101, or on 01924 295301.
