TRIALS bike legend Dougie Lampkin is to display his skills in an extravaganza next month.

The 12-times world champion will wow the crowds at the Cholmondeley Pageant of Power (CPOP) in Cheshire.

And the star has been getting in some practice at the venue, in the grounds of Cholmondeley Castle.

Riding his Vertigo Combat, he honed his bike-control skills from different points, ranging from the castle roof to the ornate ponds and lake.

He spent spent three days at the estate in readiness for the CPOP, where he will appear on June 13 and 14.

Mr Lampkin, of Silsden, said: "Cholmondeley is an amazing place and the Pageant of Power promises to be something very different and special.

"I need to thank my Red Bull team for supporting me as I continue to look to challenge myself in different ways.

"Having the chance to experiment with riding on water was another first for me and for the sport of trial."

Mr Lampkin, who received the MBE in 2000 for services to trials biking, has over the years notched-up seven outdoor and five indoor world titles.
