A range of traditional African and Caribbean dishes were cooked up by young and old at a special cook and eat session.
Young people involved in the charity Brathay Trust - which inspires youngsters and helps them to develop their personal and social skills - joined elderly African and Caribbean people at Age UK Bradford and District's Mary Seacole Court Day Centre to rustle up dishes.
The session has been supported by the We Love Eating Campaign, which has provided three gas hobs and £100 to buy the food required.
"We recognise the importance of bridging the gap across generations and cultures," said Tim Shelton, project co-ordinator with Age UK Bradford, "We cooked a range of dishes, then sat together and shared our food and our thoughts and views of the world."
