A 65-YEAR-OLD man, who was serving an extended sentence for indecently assaulting a 15-year-old girl, was yesterday jailed for nine months for flagrant and blatant breaches of a Sexual Offences Prevention Order.

David Betts, of Heybeck Walk, Holme Wood, Bradford, breached the order by inviting a girl and two boys, all under 16, to his home. The breach was discovered when a police officer made a routine inspection.

Betts was prohibited, under the order, from inviting anyone under 18 to his house.

Bradford Crown Court heard he had been frequently entertaining youngsters.

Judge Jonathan Durham Hall QC told him: "This case involves blatant breaches of an order imposed by the court to protect vulnerable children from you, a serious sexual offender."
