A GROUP of bikers turned detective when a friend's beloved bike was stolen and found it being ridden by three joyriders within 14 hours.

Dramatic CCTV footage has now emerged of the three yobs on the back of the bike in Ravenscliffe.

Lee Clayton, 21, of Horton Bank Top, Wibsey, was alerted to the theft of the green motocross bike by a neighbour.

A subsequent appeal on social media led friends tracking the bike down to the Ravenscliffe estate where they gave chase. The hunt ended with three youths leaping off the Sinnis Apache and running away.

Mr Clayton said he expected the bike to have been torched.
