Wanstead Festival last year on Christ Church Green.
Musicians have been asked to take part in two community festivals.
The week-long Wanstead Fringe will start on September 7 and Wanstead Festival will take place all day on Christ Church Green on September 13.
Organisers are looking for local musicians of all types to get involved.
An estimated 5,000 people attended the Wanstead Festival last year, which included live bands, a cycle circuit, a classic car show, a climbing wall and yoga.
