GLASGOW'S Colin Keith has been forced to withdraw from today's

Scottish National Telesquash Championships because of a fractured rib.

It is the same injury which prevented his defence of the Scottish squash

title last month.

The 24-year-old made a successful comeback when he defeated two former

British Champions, Del Harris and Bryan Beeson, in the inter-county

matches 10 days ago, but he has been in pain ever since and admitted:

''I probably pushed myself too hard too soon.''

Keith's place in a revised men's draw goes to the Aberdeen No.1, John

Morrison, and he will meet Glasgow Accies internationalist Martin Heath

in tonight's first round.

Mark Maclean and Emma Donaldson are top seeds in the attack-minded

variation of squash devised by Eric Farr to appeal to television.

Revised first round:

Men: M Maclean v M Ramsay, M Heath v J Morrison, A Thomson v D Gordon,

P Nicol v M Morton. Women: E Donaldson v W Maitland, A Bowie v J Nicol.

* Martin Heath of Glasgow won the men's title at the Scottish

Universities' championships at Edinburgh. The women's title went to

Aberdeen's Desni Nixon.
