A Bradford choir will broadcast live to the nation on BBC radio.
Bradford's leading young people's choir, the Bradford Girls' Choir, has been invited to perform on BBC Radio 4 LW, on Monday.
The choir, which comprises 45 auditioned girls from Catholic schools across Bradford and Keighley, will travel to Manchester to perform on the Daily Service.
Formed in 2006, the choir has already enjoyed success and exposure performing at many of West Yorkshire's finest concert venues including St George's Hall, Bradford, Leeds and Huddersfield Town Halls and Leeds Cathedral.
Choir director Christopher McElroy said it was a great honour for the girls to be invited to perform live on BBC radio.
He said: "It is rare that children's choirs are considered to be of sufficient quality to receive such an invitation.
"This gives the girls the opportunity to show the nation that the choral tradition of Bradford is very much alive."
The programme will be on at 9.45am on Monday and for seven days afterwards can be accessed again via the BBC's listen-again service on the Internet.
