The Searchers, Wayne Fontana, The Merseybeats , John Walker and The Dakotas a line-up to gladden the heart of fans of the 60s, and they're all on stage at the Victoria Theatre, Halifax, on March 2.
Now in its 22nd year the evening will be packed full of the classic hits performed by the original hit makers. The Searchers have been going for well over 40 years, enjoying a hugely successful career with three No 1 singles, including Sweets for my Sweet, and Don't Throw Your Love Away.
Wayne Fontana was just one of many talented performers to come out of Manchester during the 1960s beat boom. From his first major chart success in 1964 with Um Um Um Um Um Um, followed by Game of Love, Wayne has enjoyed many UK hits.
Described as one of the most powerful and exciting bands of the era, The Merseybeats were regulars at Liverpool's famous Cavern Club, enjoying hit after hit, including Wishin & Hopin' and I Think of You.
Special guests include John Walker, one third of the Walker Brothers, the group that gave us hits like Make It Easy on Yourself and The Dakotas, who reached No 1 in the charts with Bad for Me and Little Children, plus numerous other top ten singles including Do You Want To Know A Secret.
Tickets for Solid Silver 60s are £21, £19 and £17 and are available from the Theatre box office on 01422 351158.
