MEMBERS of a disability sports club joined staff from the Bradford Bulls Foundation to celebrate a new sporting partnership at Odsal today.

Cycling 4 All, based at The University of Bradford, took their range of adaptive bikes for a ride around the Provident Stadium, where they are now working with the Bulls' wheelchair rugby team.

Adam Tasker, project coordinator at C4A, said the group had set up the 'Bradford Bullfrogs', which he thinks is the only wheelchair rugby league team in any university in the UK, to cater for disabled people who wanted to take part in activities other than cycling.

"It's great to be able to make this connection with the Foundation, and our team will act as a development squad for the Bulls," he said.

"As with all our activities, the sessions are open and accessible to everyone, and no-one is ever turned away."

The Bullfrogs train every Monday night at the Trinity Green College campus, and captain Mo Patel said they hoped to set up fixtures with other local universities and development squads.

Mark Winder, general manager of the Bradford Bulls Foundation, said the link-up between the club's wheelchair team, which was set up five years ago, and C4A felt like a "natural progression."

"We want to use the brand and heritage of the Bulls to engage with people, and one of our main pillars is social inclusion, which fits in with working with Adam and his team," he said. "People can get an initial experience through the Bullfrogs, but there is a pathway there for people to progress to the Bulls wheelchair team."
