SHOPPERS felt the glamour of Hollywood on Saturday as retailers in Bradford city centre dressed up to mark the start of the Bradford International Film Summit on Wednesday.

Staff at the Kirkgate Centre and in Marks & Spencer, Boots, Dorothy Perkins, Evans, and Burtons, on Darley Street dressed up in tuxedos and ball gowns to show their support for the event.

It was the first of two opportunities for shoppers to win tickets for screenings at the Cinemobile, a mobile 100-seat indoor cinema, which has travelled from Ireland and will be located in Centenary Square throughout the summit. The next chance will be tomorrow, where same stores will again be running the promotion.

Sally Allatt, practice manager at Boots Opticians on Darley Street, said: “We had a great day and all loved getting dressed up for work.”

Bradford UNESCO City of Film director, David Wilson, said: “I am delighted to have the support of the retailers.”
