POLICE today issued an appeal after a man took a quantity of cash during an armed robbery at a shop in Bradford.

The suspect entered a shop in the Parkside Centre in Keighley Road and made demands for cash from the female member of staff.

He produced a knife and a quantity of cash was handed over before he left the shop.

The incident took place around 9pm on Wednesday, February 25.

The woman was unhurt.

The suspect is described as Asian, possibly in his 20s, around 5ft 10ins tall and of slim build.

He was wearing a dark navy jacket which had fur on the hood, blue tracksuit bottoms and black trainers. He was also wearing gloves.

Detective Inspector Ryan Bragg, of Bradford District CID, said: "We believe this man ran off down Keighley Road towards The Turf pub, so we would like to hear from anyone who saw any suspicious activity in the area in the time prior to, or shortly after this occurred."
