Woman appears in court charged with £31,000 benefit fraud
A 42-YEAR-OLD woman appeared at Bradford Crown Court today charged with five offences of benefit fraud.
Karen Harvey, of Jubilee Close, Skipton, is alleged to have fleeced the taxpayer out of around £31,000.
Prosecutor Emma Downing said she was accused of failing to reveal that she was living with a partner and failing to disclose that her health had improved while she was claiming Disability Living Allowance.
Harvey's unconditional bail was extended until a case management hearing on May 8.
A trial was fixed for July 21.
