REAL ale fans will be raising a glass or few at this weekend’s Bradford Beer Festival.
Thousands of enthusiasts are expected through the doors of Victoria Hall in Saltaire for the popular event which started last night and ends tomorrow.
Bill Arnold, of Bradford Campaign For Real Ale, was given the mammoth task of ordering this year’s beers and said he extended the search further than ever. He said: “I ordered 129 beers and by Thursday lunchtime we had 128 that had arrived safely – only one was missing and that’s because it got sold by the brewery by mistake – so I’d say it was a job well done.”
Some tickets from £5 are available for the sessions at the door, on a first-come first-served basis. Today’s session starts at 6.30pm, tomorrow’s are from 11.30am and 6.30pm.
