BRADFORD-born escapologist Antony Britton is selling tickets in aid of Comic Relief for people to watch him being buried alive in a six foot grave.
The Comic Relief stunt on March 13, will only be the third time it has ever been attempted.
World-famous Harry Houdini tried it in 1915 and Manchester magician Alan Alan had a go in 1949 – but both failed.
Now Mr Britton (pictured) will attempt the stunt in a field next to the Traveller’s Rest at Meltham, near Huddersfield. It starts at 6pm.
Mr Britton, a former pupil of Beckfoot School, Bingley, who was brought up in Saltaire, will climb into in a 6ft by 3ft grave without casket or coffin and have five tons of soil tipped on top of him.
Once the last of the soil goes on, he will have only ten minutes to get out before he has to be rescued.
Tickets costs £5. For more information, e-mail antony@escapeforlife.org.uk.
