AN EMPLOYEE at Bradford-based Safestyle window company has pleaded guilty to avoiding payment of £128,000 in income tax.

Wesley Roetteis was warned by a judge at Bradford Crown Court today that all options, including a prison sentence, would be open when he is sentenced on April 14.

Roetteis, 33, of Kitson Street, Shipley, pleaded guilty to three offences of fraudulent evasion of income tax, between April 2007 and April last year.

His barrister, Oliver Jarvis, said his client owed £128,000 over a seven year period.

"He intends to pay back what he can prior to sentence," Mr Jarvis said.

Recorder Peter Babb told smartly dressed Roetteis he would receive credit for his prompt guilty plea.

He extended his bail until the sentencing hearing, saying: "It is a significant sum of money and all sentencing options will be open to the judge who deals with the case to its conclusion in April."
