TWO men have been arrested after a suspected stolen car was involved in a collision and police chase in Bradford last night.

A Lexus was spotted by police officers on Legrams Lane but the vehicle made off when requested to stop.

Officers began a pursuit which ended minutes later after the Lexus crashed into fencing outside a supermarket on Ingleby Road.

Both men in the vehicle, aged 20 and 22, were taken to Bradford Royal Infirmary for treatment to minor injuries.

They were both later discharged and the driver was arrested on suspicion of failing to stop, dangerous driving and aggravated vehicle taking.

The 22-year-old passenger was also arrested on suspicion of aggravated vehicle taking.

Sergeant James Farrar, of the Safer Roads and Neighbourhood Support Team, said: "Enquiries are continuing into this incident today and the two arrested men remain in custody for questioning.

"Roads closures were put in place around the Duncan Street area while the Lexus IS200 saloon involved was recovered, and were later removed when the scene was made safe."
