DETECTIVES in Bradford have mounted a fresh purge on prolific criminals by releasing mugshots of the city's ten 'most wanted' villains.

The gallery of shame has been issued to the Telegraph & Argus in a similar crime-busting bid to one last September which resulted in the detention of eight out of ten suspects.

The latest list of fugitives include people wanted for a range of offences, among them assault, conspiracy to supply drugs and dangerous driving.

Although police stress the criminals on the run are not dangerous, they are anxious to apprehend them.

LATEST UPDATE: POLICE ARREST ONE OF BRADFORD'S 'TEN MOST WANTED'

Detective Inspector Lee Speight, of Bradford District CID, said: "We have undertaken numerous inquiries to locate these men and our officers continue to actively pursue every line of inquiry to trace these individuals.

"We hope that taking this step will lead these men to hand themselves in, so they can be spoken to by our officers, before they get a knock at their door from us."

Det Insp Speight added: "These men are not believed to pose a risk to the general public, but we would urge anyone who recognises any of them, or who knows where they might be, not to approach them, but contact police on 101, or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111."

Those being hunted include:

  • Kevin Tipp, 55, wanted for theft at West Park Road, Four Lane Ends, on October 28 last year;
