YOUNG visitors to the National Media Museum are invited to get animated this half term with a little help from Shaun the Sheep.
To mark the release of Shaun the Sheep: The Movie, the museum has teamed up with award-winning animation studio Aardman to present a week of baa-rilliant family activities, sharing secrets about how the adventures of Shaun and the gang from Mossy Bottom Farm are brought to the screen.
Not only will fans be able to see the new movie, they will also be treated to a specially produced interactive show before every screening, demonstrating some of the stop-motion animation techniques from the film.
Other activities include model-making and storyboarding workshops with Jay Clarke and Jim Parkyn from Aardman Animations, a chance to win a prize in a ewe-nique family trail and the discovery of tricks used to bring Shaun to life.
Elaine Richmond, learning team leader at the museum, said: “Join us to discover how Shaun’s adventures develop from ideas and blocks of modelling clay to award-winning productions.”
