THE head of volunteering at a national charity has visited a young carers’ project at a Bradford school.
Chris Reed, of Barnardos, visited the Mentors’ and Young Carers’ project at Bradford Grammar School.
The school’s Year 12 students help young carers by offering a one-to-one weekly educational mentoring scheme through Barnardo’s and the Bradford Young Carers’ service.
This scheme is in its fourth year and the aim of it is to help young people who care for an ill or disabled family member with homework, revision and school subjects they find challenging.
