A CHILD rapist fled his 14-year-old victim's home after her mother saw him through the letterbox, a jury at Bradford Crown Court heard today.

Mohammed Ahmed was grabbed by the girl's father when he ran from the cellar of the Bradford house but he escaped through the front door, it is alleged.

Ahmed, 22, of Denby Street, White Abbey, Bradford, had hit and kicked the teenager before raping her in her bedroom, prosecutor Philip Standfast said.

He is accused of attacking the girl when he was aged 20 after they had been in a relationship for three months.

Ahmed denies raping her on August 30, 2013, and two allegations of sexual activity with a child on earlier occasions.

The girl told the police Ahmed knew she was 14.

She said she did not tell her parents that she was going out with him.

They had hugged and kissed and had sex five or six times near to a school.

She invited him round to her home while her parents were out but they quarrelled over another girl and she hit him on the arm.

The teenager alleged Ahmed pursued her upstairs and pushed her on to the bedroom floor.

She said he kicked her and hit her before getting on top of her and dragging down her underwear.

"I was trying to kick him off but he raped me," she said in a recorded police interview played to the jury.

Her parents arrived home to find the house doors locked.

They were ringing the doorbell and shouting to be let in and her mother saw Ahmed running downstairs when she looked through the letterbox.

The girl thought he had left by the back door but he emerged suddenly from the cellar, hitting her father with the door.

Her dad grabbed Ahmed by the coat but he broke free and ran off.

The girl said she was crying and her mother phoned the police.

Mr Standfast said the teenager had bruising injuries to her head, neck, arms and legs.

She was taken by ambulance to Bradford Royal Infirmary.

Mr Standfast told the jury the girl's mother had previously told Ahmed to leave her children alone.

Ahmed was arrested and told the police he thought the girl was 17, and nearing her 18th birthday.

He said they were in a sexual relationship but she panicked when her parents arrived back home.

The trial continues.
