A 62-year-old Bradford man who has admitted two offences of racially aggravated harassment has been warned by a judge that he could be jailed.
Peter Shaw, of Hastings Street, Marshfield, asked two men at a petrol station why Pakistani Muslims were the most hated people in the world.
He pleaded guilty to the offences against Mahmad Vesmawala and Asjid Iqbal at a garage near Pontefract on July 3 last year.
His case was listed for trial at Leeds Crown Court yesterday but he changed his plea before a jury was sworn in.
His barrister, Simon Myers, asked that sentence be adjourned until Friday, March 2, for a probation report.
The Recorder of Leeds, Judge Norman Jones QC, warned Shaw that he could be given a custodial sentence.
His bail was extended until the date of sentence.
