WHEN Santa lost his elves he turned to Menston Scouts and Guides for help to spread the Christmas message.
Over two evenings Cubs, Brownies, Beavers, Rainbows, Scouts and Guides, and many parents helped Santa tour Menston and give out sweets and Christmas good wishes, and even towed his sleigh for him after Rudolf and his pals had inexplicably made themselves scarce.
“We are used to doing good turns so we were happy to help Santa out of his sticky situation” said Scout leader Charlie Barnes.
A total of £1,000 was raised for Martin House Hospice, the Leeds Children’s Heart Surgery Fund and Menston Scouts and Guides.
Both Santa and the Scouts and Guides would like to thank the residents of Menston for their generosity during the festive period.
