REVISED plans have been drawn up for an extension to a cafe close to Ilkley’s prominent Cow and Calf Rocks landmark, in a new bid to add to provision for visitors.

Cow and Calf Cafe owner, Toni Falconi, of Bingley, submitted an application to Bradford Council for permission to build a single storey extension to the snack kiosk and refurbish a below-ground tank for storage.

Bradford Council turned down an application in 2014 for an extension and provide an indoor seating area.

A council planning panel felt the extension would add a “substantial amount of new structure that would be be prominently positioned” in the green belt.

The resubmission application seeks to provide a “modest extension” to the existing snack kiosk, says Ilkley architects firm Sense of Space.

Bradford Council is inviting public comment until January 19.
