A FASHION retailer has become the latest name to sign up for a store at the Westfield Broadway shopping centre in Bradford.

Khaadi, which means 'hand woven', has agreed to take 3,316 sq ft of retail space at the development, due to open next autumn.

The chain, originally from Karachi in Pakistan, has also opened a new store at Birmingham's Bullring shopping centre last month.

These are the first stores the firm has opened in this country outside of London, with a further five regional locations planned for next year.

Khaadi, which was represented by international real estate advisor Savills in the deals, has stores in two of Westfield's shopping centres in the capital, London and Stratford City.

It also has stores in the US, Canada, Mexico, Pakistan and India.

Lloyd Entwistle, associate director of retail at Savills, said: “As part of Khaadi’s expansion plan it was important to secure space in key UK locations that benefit from high footfall and large catchment areas.

"The Broadway Westfield development in Bradford is set to be a superb new shopping destination for Yorkshire.”
