TWO cheese and wine evenings to raise funds for St George’s Crypt were held in Ilkley in November 2014 by Sadie Richardson who is a Resettlement Support Worker at The Crypt.

The evenings were supported by a donation from Booths in Ilkley and cheese and biscuits from Asda, who support The Crypt throughout the year.

A total of £670 was raised for St George’s Crypt, an 84-year-old charity based in Leeds providing food, shelter and support for the homeless and destitute.

In order to provide 6,644 beds and 32,396 meals per year, St George’s Crypt requires £1.4 million per year – 31 per cent of this amount is required in donations.

The services provided at The Crypt become even more paramount with the onset of harsh winter weather.
