PUDSEY MP Stuart Andrew says other forces could learn from West Yorkshire Police in how to deal with homophobic hate crimes.
Figures revealed that 17 police forces recorded an increase in violent offences which were motivated by a person’s sexuality. But the numbers were down in West Yorkshire.
Mr Andrew said: “Having been the victim of a homophobic assault, I know first-hand the impact that this can have.”
