A SHIPLEY primary school has received 200 high-visibility vests from Specsavers as part of a campaign to help pupils stay safe on the roads.
As part of National Road Safety Week, which finished on Sunday, the optician’s Idle store made the donation to Wycliffe C of E primary school to make children more visible to motorists.
Shipley store director Bhrat Phakey said: “At this time of year with the dark mornings and nights, it can be difficult for motorists to see pedestrians, and dusk is particularly hazardous when the children are walking home from school.”
