A JURY has retired to consider its verdicts in the trial of two Bradford men accused of possession of a sawn-off shotgun with intent to endanger life.
Jordan Farooq, 24, of South View Terrace, Great Horton, and Zulfiqar Ali, 33, of Padma Close, Listerhills, were arrested fleeing from a white Mitsubishi Pajero transporting a holdall containing the weapon, ammunition, gloves and balaclava masks. Police went on to recover a 9mm handgun from a conifer tree at the back of Ali’s home.
Both men plead not guilty to possession of the sawn-off shotgun with intent to endanger life on June 10. Farooq admits possession of the firearm, and dangerous driving. Ali pleads not guilty to two offences of possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life.
The jury at Bradford Crown Court was sent home overnight, to return today.
