PLANS have been unveiled for a dementia-friendly garden on Church Green in Keighley.
Plants in the garden will feature lots of familiar colours and smells to make it interesting for people who have dementia.
The garden, the brainchild of Keighley Town Centre Association, is part of wide-ranging efforts to make the town ‘dementia-friendly’.
The project is being led by Pippa Chapman, of Those Plant People, and the team have already applied for external funding.
It will be publicly unveiled on December 6 in the Airedale Shopping Centre.
Keighley Town Centre Association chairman Steve Seymour (pictured) said: “Its aim is to incorporate smell and familiar colours and plants.”
