A 22-YEAR-OLD man who broke his grandmother’s arm when he kicked out in a drunken rage has been sentenced to a 12-month community order with supervision and an alcohol treatment requirement.

Christopher Charlesworth of Woodbine Grove, Idle, recklessly injured Janice Charlesworth, landlady at the Oddfellows public house in Idle on May 10, Bradford Crown Court heard yesterday.

Charlesworth, in custody for several months, appeared before the court on a video link to Leeds Prison.

He pleaded guilty to criminal damage and to causing Mrs Charlesworth and a man at the pub actual bodily harm.

The court heard that Charlesworth was drunk and aggressive and smashed a door at the pub.

He punched the man in the face and kicked out at his grandmother.
